Wake Up Sid is a 2010 Indian Bollywood comedy-drama film directed by Ayan Mukherjee and written by Sangeeth Sivan. Plot The film begins with Sid Sharma, the main protagonist, waking up in the morning on the day of his graduation ceremony. He goes for a morning walk and passes by a beach where he runs into Priya Pandey, the girl he has been in love with for two years. When Priya asks him what's up, Sid tells her about his troubles: he has got three marks less than required for graduation, his father is not happy with him, and he is also in love with Priya. Priya says that she will help Sid as she can. The next day, when Sid goes to Priya's house, he finds out that Priya was involved in a car accident in which her friend, Noorie, was killed. After going to the police station, Priya tells him the whole story about what happened. Since Priya's father is a police inspector, she is in trouble with her father, who wants her to marry someone who can provide for her financially, and she doesn't want to marry Sid because of the great love they share.
